Position Overview:In conjunction with the Director of Athletics, Recreation & Physical Education, the Associate Athletics Director, Recreation & Physical Education will direct, plan and organize UMBC’s Recreation & Physical Education programs and support functions.

Responsibilities:This position will oversee all full-time administrators and staff of the department and part-time student employees, coaches and instructors for the following programs: fitness, outdoor, aquatics, intramurals and club sports and all recreation facilities.
Develop and manage the Department and Fitness and Aquatic Center (RAC) budgets.
This position will ensure program operations are of high quality and integrity and are functioning in support of the overall University vision, mission, and values.
The Associate Athletics Director, Recreation & Physical Education provides leadership within UMBC Athletics assuming Sport Supervision responsibilities and serving as the Director of the UMBC Summer Day Camp.
Required Minimum Qualifications:- Requires a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Sports Administration, Education or a related field.
- 7 years of professional experience, preferably within the Athletics/Recreation field.
- Experience in large athletic facilities including an aquatics area, weight room, indoor track, fitness studio is preferred.
- Experience in facilities management, event management or a related area is preferred.
