Warehouse Technician

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will report to the Site Supervisor and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Hourly Rate: $22.50 - $24.50

Location: San Diego, CA

What we’re looking for  

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required
• Experience: 1+ years of material handling, shipping, and receiving.
• Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Suite experience
• Conform to all company and customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, and security clearances
• Strong communication skills
• Strong teamwork skills
• A driver's license is needed to perform the job successfully
• Detail-oriented
• Excellent Customer Service Skills; display a professional can-do attitude.
• Perform duties with the highest regard for safety and quality.
• Ability to understand and follow site protocols, policies, and procedures
• Must be flexible, forward-thinking, motivated, and can act independently
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Problem-solving skills

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group, serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.

In this role you will:

• Responsible for logistical activities such as delivering, shipping, and receiving of packages through coordination with 3rd party couriers.
• Process packages through tracking system
• Data entry
• May handle/ receive chemicals, including hazardous materials.
• Pickup outbound packages
• Perform shipping duties.
• Updating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures
• Require traveling between customers sites
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Transparency:

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is

$41,200.00 - $68,700.00

Actual pay may differ depending on relevan
