The Service Technician is to provide support to the Service department and the customers we assist with their low voltage issues. The Service Technician’s responsibilities are as follows; Service and some installation of conduit, wire, and devices for various low voltage systems, mainly focusing on fire alarm, access control and video surveillance equipment. They must be highly motivated, and task oriented to see tasks through to completion. They must be a team player and excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

 

Key Responsibilities:

The Service Technician is responsible for customer coordination in the field and repair of all systems and customer training. They shall work with the Service Coordinator and Service Manager to help schedule onsite resources, and ensure equipment and materials are correct and onsite when needed. The Senior Service Technician must also communicate well with internal and external customers. The Senior Service Technician will be responsible for completing all paperwork on all jobs done in SME (IFSS’ current service software).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Certifications in IFSS’ areas of expertise or a successful 5 years minimum of demonstrated work history/knowledge as a service technician is
    required.
  • NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems is preferred, but not required.
  • Understanding NEC and NFPA current requirements is essential. They shall be able to troubleshoot pan
