SAP Global Events Team, Event Specialist

The Event Specialist will help support global events at SAP by working cross functionally across the Global Events Team (GET) to drive performance and scale across the event portfolio. Your creativity, innovative approach to events & project management skills will help effectively support our event goals. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work through ambiguity and has strong interpersonal skills. 

 

Job Responsibilities

• Ability to support needs of the events team, based on event needs
• Develop strong ties to customer and sponsors within our events
• Create detailed processes that support event efficiency & event goals
• Work with stakeholders across the organization to support & achieve event objectives
• Stay up-to-date on event industry trends & technologies, and implement best practices as appropriate

Education, Experience, Skills

• BA/BS degree required, preferably in English, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field
• Up to 3 years of experience in the events, project management and/or sponsorship space

• Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks requiring independent follow through, organization and attention to detail
• Collaborates cross-functionally, across all levels of the organization
• Comfortable in a multi-tasking environment with frequent interruptions, short deadlines and sometimes a high degree of pressure
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PPT, Teams and Outlook
