Job Summary
Leverage expertise in electrical and/or mechanical systems to enhance the availability and reliability of rolling stock equipment. Implement refined inspection, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance programs, incorporating adjustments to the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) program for optimal efficiency and effectiveness.
Essential Functions
- Provides oversight for equipment inspection, maintenance, modification, and repair programs, aiming to enhance equipment availability and reliability.
- Conducts ad hoc analyses to optimize material consumption, collaborating across departments to improve production efficiencies.
- Develops, monitors, and reports on planned maintenance performance within the facility, ensuring adherence to schedules and goals.
- Implements communication plans to enhance end-user awareness of technical specifications, maintenance policies, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Acts as a liaison between stakeholders, ensuring alignment of strategic goals and providing technical feedback for continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience.
- Plus 7 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience.
- Plus 9 years of relevant work experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong leadership and decisive decision-making abilities.
- Demonstrated proficiency in problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, enabling compelling presentations.
- Skilled at interfacing with management at all levels, including executives, providing insightful analysis and recommendations for improvement.
- Proficient in PC skills, encompassing word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
The salary/hourly range is $113,200.00 – $146,664.00. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. Depending on an employee’s assigned worksite or location, Amtrak may consider a geo-pay differential to be applied to the employee’s base salary. Amtrak may offer additional incentive and pay programs to recognize and reward our employees, including a short-term incentive bonus based upon factors such as individual and company performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
