Role Description
Summary
Fearless’ internship program provides college students and recent graduates with real-world experience in the government tech industry. This 10-week, full-time, paid hybrid internship offers not only technical skills but also a broad range of professional development opportunities, including resume building, interview preparation, and networking for job readiness.
As a Multimedia Intern, you will be a key member of the Fearless Institute Team. This role provides hands-on experience in designing, editing, and producing multimedia content that aligns with our brand and messaging. The ideal candidate has a passion for digital media and a keen eye for visual storytelling, helping to enhance our digital presence through engaging content.
Responsibilities and Contributions
- Assist in the creation of visual and multimedia content, including graphics, videos, and animations.
- Edit and produce video content for marketing and social media purposes.
- Capture and edit photographs and videos for various company projects and events.
- Design marketing materials such as social media graphics, banners, and presentations.
- Collaborate with the Fearless Institute and Hutch teams to develop engaging multimedia campaigns.
- Manage and organize multimedia assets in digital libraries.
- Stay updated on multimedia trends and suggest innovative ideas to enhance our digital presence.
- Assist with live-streaming setups and video production for virtual and in-person events.
Essential Skills, Experience, or Competencies
Must-Have Skills
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a degree program in Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, Film Production, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects) or similar software.
- Strong visual storytelling and design skills.
- Experience with video production, editing, and motion graphics is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and content optimization strategies.
- Basic knowledge of audio editing tools like Adobe Audition or GarageBand.
Icing-on-the-Cake Skills
- Experience with animation and motion graphics.
- Experience with photography and lighting techniques.
- Familiarity with Figma or Canva for quick design mockups.
- Knowledge of Streamyard or Restream for live streaming.
- Basic HTML, CSS, or WordPress knowledge for embedding multimedia content on websites.
- Understanding of Google Analytics and SEO for images/videos to optimize content performance.
- Lift, carry, and move event materials, equipment to safety guidelines and lifting techniques.
