Senior Director of Talent Acquisition

Avamere is seeking a Senior Director of Talent Acquisition to lead specialized recruitment efforts and drive our talent acquisition strategy under the guidance and leadership of the VP of Talent Acquisition.  Avamere began in 1995, as a single Skilled Nursing Facility in Hillsboro, Oregon. Since that small beginning, Avamere has grown over the years to become the industry leader in the Pacific Northwest for Skilled Nursing and Post-Acute Care. Operating 33 Skilled Nursing Facilities in Oregon and Washington, including 5 campuses with Independent Living, Assisted Living, and/or Memory Care onsite, Avamere provides those who need extra care a dignified place to rest and recover.   

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive talent acquisition tactics aligned with the company's Talent Acquisition strategy.
  • Manages assigned recruiters and talent acquisition professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner closely with senior leadership and hiring managers to understand talent needs and priorities, and provide tactical support on workforce planning and recruitment efforts.
  • Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and candidate attraction to offer negotiation and onboarding, for assigned areas directly and through subordinate staff.
  • Supports employer branding initiatives to ensure a consistent reputation as an employer of choice, both internally and externally.
  • Utilize data and analytics to track and measure recruitment effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations to leadership.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in talent acquisition, and implement innovative strategies to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Cultivate relationships with external partners, including recruitment agencies, vendors, and professional organizations, to enhance our talent pipeline and access top talent.
  • Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the talent acquisition function, driving efforts to promote diversity and ensure a fair and equitable recruitment process for all candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; 8 years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, with at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing recruitment at a large organization; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful talent acquisition strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, drive results, and foster a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Deep understanding of recruitment best practices, employment law, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience leveraging technology and data analytics to optimize recruitment processes and drive continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a track record of implementing strategies to attract and retain diverse talent.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and continuous learning in the field of talent acquisition. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • SHRM-SCP, CP, HRCI-SPHR or PHR certification
