JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The School of Visual Arts in the College of Arts and Architecture invites applications for one or more Part-Time Instructor positions to teach courses in the Bachelor of Design in Digital Multimedia Design (DIGMD) degree for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Digital arts/design courses may include 2D, 3D, interaction design, time-based media, and critical theory. This multidisciplinary online degree is offered in partnership with the Colleges of Communication and Information Science and Technology. A Master's degree or enrollment in a Ph.D. program in a relevant field of study is required. Online teaching experience is highly desirable. In addition to teaching, Instructors may be asked to participate in the development of web-based courses.

These are one semester, non-tenure track appointments with the possibility of reappointment. Part-time Instructors will normally teach one to two sections of the course per semester. To learn more about the School of Visual Arts, please visit our website at http://sova.psu.edu.

To be considered for these positions, applications must include a cover letter and curriculum vitae (with the names and contact information of two references). Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the positions are filled.
