Position Summary:     

 

Due to our continued growth & expansion, SPS Commerce is looking for a Lead Implementation Consultant focused on SAP S/4HANA. Our implementation experts are responsible for deploying SPS’s solutions and leading the seamless integration of household name brands onto the SPS Commerce platform, so it is critical that this individual is Obsessed with Customers and has a Get After It attitude. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of operational excellence working in or with brands through SAP implementations, solution integration, training, and user acceptance testing (UAT).  All of this will help the Lead Consultant inform the product roadmap, refine best practices for SAP implementations, and deliver best-in-class solutions for SPS Commerce’s SAP customers.

 

Our Implementation Consultants consult and advise on project tasks for integrating e-commerce solutions with ERP systems, from close of sale through hand-off to the Customer Operations team.  Exceeding customer expectations is a top priority, which is accomplished by clearly understanding the clients’ business model, the partner resources and limitations, and the value added by the SPS components. 

 

Key Responsibilities:    

• Subject matter expert (SME) for SAP S/4HANA implementation and processes (i.e. partner setup, master data management, O2C processes)
• Align with SPS Commerce Product Management, Technology, and Customer Success to refine SAP S/4HANA implementation best practices
• Manage day-to-day project tasks for integrating e-commerce solutions from close of sale through hand-off to the Customer Operations team.
• Execute installation, upgrades, testing, and system configuration as part of completing implementation project.
• Create customer-specific business rules to meet customer and trading partner system and/or business requirements
• Define and execute test plans to successfully integrate trading partners
• Verify that maps and business rules function correctly prior to production install
• Configure production installation and confirm connectivity with successful data flow
• Monitor data flow and analyze, resolve or direct any required technical bug fixes
• Track progress of implementation project(s). Ensure deadlines are met and scheduling issues resolved.
• Keep customer and other stakeholders informed of project progress.
• Possess and maintain a high level of industry-specific business knowledge by remaining current with emerging products and technical updates
• Mentor team and provide informal leadership

 

Location:     

This role is either remote or hybrid out of one of our offices, based on the candidate’s location.  For hybrid office locations, we Succeed Together though in-person collaboration, balanced with remote work to provide flexibility. 

    

Required Qualifications:    

• 3+ years working with SAP S/4HANA
• Experience working in or with brands implementing SAP S/4HANA
• 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 6 years with a Master’s degree, including 5+ years in customer implementation and solution testing, and consulting in industry-standard practices like ERP or Ecommerce. 
• Strong technical analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to operate independently, manage multiple projects concurrently, and work without supervision. 
• Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills, with experience interfacing with executives and creating detailed systems process documentation. 
• Demonstrated ability to implement complex, large-scale customer solutions, familiarity with XML, and preference for a solid understanding of Integration Design, Ecommerce, and Supply Chain principles. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years software consulting or software implementation experience
• Strong understanding of e-commerce, order to cash, and electronic data interchange (EDI)
