The Maintenance Team Coordinator (Maintenance Technician 4) is responsible for maintaining the electrical and mechanical equipment of the plants by effectively and efficiently using the available resources of the plants. The incumbent evaluates the unit’s operating status and performs troubleshooting of processes, and repairs equipment in order to maximize unit reliability and quality production.  The incumbent understands levels of downtime caused by equipment issues and associated points of cause and maintains communication with others inside and outside their department.

A Day in the Life

• Plans and organizes workloads and assignments of the mechanics. Assures that tasks are performed within budget and the use of resources (i.e., staffing, materials, facilities and time) are used effectively and efficiently while complying with Company policies and procedures.
• Participate in the development of quality job plans by working with planner and participating on field walk throughs
• Providing technical support or solicitating support to conduct failure root cause analysis
• Participate in daily and weekly work schedules and ensure schedule adherence
• Performs repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment. Assist other mechanics in the repair of equipment.
• Helps to maintain the preventive maintenance program. Evaluates preventive maintenance schedules for all electrical and mechanical equipment. Monitors the progress of weekly preventative maintenance work orders.
• Advises parts and supplies that are needed for shop and equipment.
• Provides training based on individual needs or as directed by manager and/or job requirements.
• Determines standard operating procedures with guidance from manager. 
• Participate in all safety related programs. Conduct regular safety observations to ensure that all employees are working safely and complying with all federal, state and local safety regulations, as well as company policies, practices, and procedures
• Promotes an environment that will foster positive employee relations.  This can be achieved through constant communication, timely feedback, and consistent adherence to company policies and procedures. 
• Performs other duties of similar nature and scope as assigned by manager.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum 5-8 years previous experience working in an industrial maintenance role of similar capacity at an industrial manufacturing facility
• Availability to work overtime or weekends on short notice as needed; provide on-call service when required
• Must possess a High School Diploma or G.E.D. at time of application; PREFER a certification/degree in at least one of the following:
    o 2-year degree in Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
    o Industrial Electricity/motor controls or a state-issued license
    o Journeyman’s Card (Electrical, Maintenance, Millwright)
    o Welding certification (3G or 4G; 6G preferred)
    o Fluid Power Systems (Hydraulic and Pneumatic)
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License
• Must submit to pre-employment screening including: employment history verification, background check, physical and hair follicle drug screening.  
• Must be able to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, blueprints, operation manuals, manufacturers’ instructions and engineering specifications, write routine correspondence, and speak the English language to effectively communicate with supervisors and other team members
• Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, and work at heights of 100ft or more and work in confined spaces
• Strong mathematics and computer skills; SAP experience preferred
• Properly follow written and verbal operating and LOTO procedures; complete work within given deadlines
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and problems effectively
• Collaborate with team members
