About the role

Selective Placement Factor (SPF): If applying as a Landscape Architect (0807 series), you must have a current registration as a Professional Landscape Architect from any state, the District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico. You must provide a copy of this registration with your application. In addition to the SPF and Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector most or all the following experience: 1) Providing technical support and guidance to stakeholders with regards to cultural resources protection and preservation; 2) Advising installations on proposed actions/federal undertakings that affect cultural resources to ensure compliance with the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA); 3) Assessing project impacts on historic properties (e.g. acquisition, preservation, restoration, reconstruction) in accordance with Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties; and 4) Coordinating project plans with Tribal, Native, and/or Historic Preservation Organizations.
