About the role

Rogue Disposal and Recycling Transfer Station, 8001 Table Rock Rd., White City, OR

Employee status:  Non-Union/Non-exempt

Schedule: Tues-Sat, 8:00am-4:30pm, Flexible Schedule 40-50 hours per week.

Wage Range:  $20.00-$22.00/Hour DOE

Drug and alcohol testing:  Subject to pre-employment drug testing and random selection drug and alcohol testing per Company policy.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITY:

The Utility position is the first point of contact for trucks coming onto our site, directing traffic and ensuring a safe working environment. This is a demanding role that requires focus while working outside in the elements.

  • Yard and facility maintenance including debris and clean up
  • Picking up litter
  • Picking up and sweeping windblown trash
  • General site clean up
  • Various utility tasks as needed
  • Learning the operations of transfer station
  • Specific duties can change on the daily basis as operation needs change
  • Spotting Trucks

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 2 years of work experience.  Preferably in a labor type position.
  • Experience operating equipment is a plus
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions throughout entire shift
  • Mechanical ability a plus.
  • The ability to continually lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout an 8-10 hr. shift.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

  • Exposed to different weather year round.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects of up to 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of light equipment operation and maintenance a plus.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
