Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Software Engineer/ Principal Software Engineer - Digital Thread. This position is located in Roy, Utah or Huntsville, AL and supports the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
The successful candidate will be a motivated software developer who is comfortable with both front and back-end programming as well as identifying COTS candidates. Full Stack Developers are responsible for developing and designing front end web architecture, ensuring the responsiveness of applications and working alongside graphic designers for web design features, among other duties. Full Stack Developers will be required to see out a project from conception to final product, requiring good organizational skills and attention to detail.
The successful candidates’ responsibilities will include:
- Developing front end website architecture.
- Designing user interactions on web pages.
- Developing back-end website applications.
- Creating servers and databases for functionality.
- Ensuring responsiveness of applications.
- Working alongside graphic designers for web design features.
- Designing and developing APIs.
- Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages.
- Evaluation of COTS products that may contribute to the end product
- Communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
- Develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
- Perform work without appreciable direction.
Basic Requirements:
Software Engineer: Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of relevant experience; Master’s Degree with 1 years’ experience or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
- 1+ year of experience with developing web architectures.
- 1+ year of experience with the Atlassian Software Development and Collaboration Tools.
- 1+ year of experience with Typescript.
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company to meet its business need.
Principal Software Engineer: Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of relevant experience; Master’s Degree with 3 years’ experience; PhD with 1 year experience or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
- 3+ Years of experience with developing web architectures.
- 3+ Years of experience with the Atlassian Software Development and Collaboration Tools.
- 3+ Years of experience with Typescript.
