Collins Aerospace is currently seeking student engineers for our Mission Systems Maritime Defense Engineering department located in Windsor Locks, CT. We are a multi-disciplinary team of engineers working in design, development, verification & validation, and operational support of environmental conditioning and life support systems, power generation systems, reactant generation systems, and fuel cell & electrolyzer systems for our Maritime applications supporting US & international submarines, unmanned underwater vehicles (UUV’s) and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV’s). What You Will Do:
- Assist design and project engineers in the department on various projects that may include some of the following:
- Review of engineering schematics, drawings, parts lists, and requirements specifications
- Working with computer aided design (CAD) models.
- Extracting, processing, and analyzing product-generated data.
- Review of vendor product performance and capability information to help select components used for designs.
- Performing various engineering calculations to assess design capability or operational performance.
- Processing and/or tracking status of engineering changes or product quality tasks.
- Participating in integrated product development team meetings.
- Documenting design, analysis and/or test results.
- Plan and manage tasks effectively.
- Prepare and present project / technical information to peers, internal management, and customers.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the information under this program/contract.
