Your role
As a Senior Platform engineer your main responsibilities will involve
- You will collaborate globally with other IT departments and engage with suppliers.
- As the technical manager of DevHub, you will oversee the platform and ensure its smooth operation.
- Working closely with the DevHub Product Owner, you will identify actionable insights and analyze platform performance data provided by the tool.
- You will be responsible for generating regular reports for various stakeholders, offering objective performance measurements to aid in decision-making.
- Experience in managing stakeholders in complex environments with diverse cultures is essential.
- Adaptability to change and uncertainty is crucial, as you will be coordinating multiple senior project team members.
- You will work on integrating Spotify Backstage with various internal tools and services.
- Ensure the platform is scalable, secure, and continuously improved based on user feedback.
Your Skills and Experience
As a Senior Platform engineer your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- Exceptional proficiency in English communication.
- Proven experience in platform engineering, preferably with Spotify Backstage.
- Proficient in managing cloud environments such as AWS and Azure.
- Capable of performing routine tasks such as system configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams to ensure the smooth integration of systems.
- Utilize analytical techniques to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights that contribute to identifying improvement opportunities.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Shell, or similar.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
