Salary & Benefits:  Lead Teacher Salary Scale: $17.00-$20.00 Hourly

The Learning Experience offers Paid Vacation Time and Paid Holidays/Breaks:Paid Time Off: Up to 80 hours (Higher for Tenured Employees of 3 years or more). Voluntary Prekindergarten Teachers at The Learning Experience are trained and have a high expectation to provide premiere care to our little learners aged 4 to 5 years.

VPK (Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten) Teachers at The Learning Experience- Rivercrest are ambassadors of happiness, creating opportunities every day that reflect our mission to make a difference in the lives of children, their families, and communities. Our passionate teachers use a growth mindset to develop young minds and inspire a love of learning. Role Responsibilities: 

• Lead/Teach approximately 20 children 4-5  years of age with a co-teacher.
• Serve as a role model, using a growth mindset to develop young minds and inspire a love of learning
• Implement our proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, in our Voluntary Prekindergarten Program (VPK) 
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Communicate regularly with parents, sharing their children’s latest adventures and achievements through a variety of avenues, including mobile apps and personal discussions. Conduct Parent/Teacher conferences.
• Support your center’s success, partnering with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment and engagement.
• Build relationships with families and coworkers and create a dynamic environment where play and learning happen seamlessly.

 Qualifications: 

• 2 plus years of professional preschool teaching experience preferred. At least one year of professional teaching experience required.
• DCF 45 (Required)
• CDA (Preferred)
• Staff Credential, Associate degree or higher in ECE or related degree preferred. 
• High school diploma/GED required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).
• CPR and First Aide certification preferred
• Must meet state specific guidelines for the role (i.e. VPK Endorsement)
• Must have Florida VPK Emergent Literacy Certifications (Required)
