We’re looking for a Data Annotation Specialist to assist the deep learning team in tackling exciting computer vision challenges that empower Matroid features and capabilities by labeling images & objects for training and evaluation of our neural networks. Ideally, you are adaptable, with a keen eye for detail, and a passion for data that will solve real life problems. This role will initially be part time, with a possibility of extension and expansion to a Full Time role.
You’ll be working at our new office in downtown Palo Alto, just a five-minute walk from the Caltrain station.
What You’ll Do
- Use in-house tools to label images to train our model
- Work with the engineering team to improve the labeling process and UX/UI
- Make judgment calls on difficult edge cases that might come up during labeling
How you’ll be doing it
- You will work on a standalone project with autonomy yet under the guidance and mentorship of a senior member of the deep learning team.
- You will work collaboratively alongside software and computer vision experts to build the neural network empowering Matroid features and capabilities
What you bring to the table
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to learn quickly and be able to prioritize assignments
- Proficient computer skills utilizing keyboard/mouse
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Detail-oriented and patient
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Must be reliable, have good initiative, committed and quality focused
- Available for on-site work schedule
- Up to date vaccination
- Willingness and eligibility for security clearance up to TS/SCI
Bonus points if…
- Previous work experience with data labeling
- Previous work experience at a tech startup
- Knowledge of computer vision and software
