Job Title: CNC Programmer / Machinist – Milling & Turning

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to support precision manufacturing operations in a fast-paced production environment. This role involves programming, setup, and operation of CNC and manual equipment to produce high-quality components across a variety of applications.

Key Responsibilities
Review work orders, blueprints, and technical drawings (including GD&T) to determine machining requirements
Program, edit, and operate 3-axis CNC milling machines using G-code
Set up machines, including establishing offsets, tool registers, and reference points
Perform machining operations such as drilling, tapping, turning, facing, and cutting
Conduct first-piece inspections and verify dimensions using precision measuring tools
Identify and resolve machining issues, including making program adjustments as needed
Operate manual equipment including mills, lathes, drill presses, saws, and other shop tools
Perform routine machine maintenance and manage tooling
Monitor material levels and assist with inventory tracking and replenishment
Required Qualifications
At least 3 years of CNC machining experience
Proficiency in G-code programming and editing
Solid understanding of geometry and trigonometry as applied to machining
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
Familiarity with quality processes such as First Article Inspection and PPAP
Basic knowledge of inventory control practices
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and reaching
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Experience
Background in sheet metal manufacturing
Experience with CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks or similar)
Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality standards
Exposure to process improvement initiatives
Experience operating manual mills and lathes
Equipment & Tools
CNC vertical machining centers (including models similar to Fadal VMC series)
Manual machining equipment
Precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and depth gauges
