Job Description Summary

Perform experiments using a variety of techniques. The position requires assisting the principal investigator with wet-up of new laboratory space, including ordering, set-up and maintenance of supplies and equipment, and assistance with transfer of laboratory protocols, laboratory website, and other new lab logistics as needed.
Position is contingent upon grant funding.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Conducting molecular cloning, cell culture, and genome editing and genome regulation experiments in immortalized cells and primary cells.

    ·       Conducting in vitro experiments including flow cytometry, qPCR, ELISA. Preference given to candidates with prior familiarity with these tools.

    ·       Performing in vivo experiments in mouse models, including handling, injections, surgeries, and behavioral or physiological assessments, with preference given to candidates with prior animal research experience. 

    ·       Maintaining laboratory stocks, ordering reagents, and ensuring compliance with institutional biosafety and animal care protocols.

    ·       Assisting in the preparation of scientific manuscripts, grant proposals, and presentations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Position is contingent upon continued funding.
