Position Summary 

We are seeking a motivated and collaborative Technology Business Partner (TBP) to serve as a key connector between our centralized technology teams and SPG (Specialty Program Group).  This role is responsible for understanding the needs, priorities, and challenges of SPG field operations AND the needs, priorities, and challenges of our technology operations, serving as a trusted advisor to ensure the right technology conversations are happening at the right time—and that field perspectives are represented in enterprise planning.  If you are energized by partnership, communication, and making sure technology delivers real business value, this is the role for you - you will help bridge the gap between enterprise technology and frontline excellence—shaping not just systems and capabilities, but how people experience and benefit from them. 

Leadership and Relationship Management Duties 

  • Act as the primary point of contact between field leaders (such as the COO) and the centralized tech organization 
  • Understand the portfolio of enterprise products and services across the SPG division  
  • Learn the business as well as people within the business to understand and articulate business objectives, priorities, perspectives, and critical business issues 
  • Cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with IT colleagues and senior business executives 
  • Know how to navigate the IT organization and be able to inspire excellent support and good business partnership throughout all levels of IT 
  • Facilitate regular touchpoints, check-ins, and regional advisory conversations with field and tech leadership 
  • Guide technology conversations with a focus on value realization and business impact 
  • Share insights and lessons learned across teams (Technology and SPG teams and leaders)
  • Surface patterns and needs related to service tickets, outages, tool usage, and knowledge gaps 
  • Improve outcomes through collaboration with PMO, Service Management, Change, and Training teams to ensure SPG team perspectives are captured in change initiatives, system implementations, service upgrades, etc. and to: 
  • Drive identification, planning, and tracking of business value from tech initiatives 
  • Partner with centralized teams to adapt or extend solutions for field success 
  • Support technology readiness, rollout, and adoption across SPG 
  • Actively participate in stakeholder feedback, retrospectives, and learning loops 
  • Provide second level escalation support to the business leaders where the technology processes do not provide the desired outcomes  
  • Shepherd the intake process, collaborating with business leaders to identify business capability needs that lead to the right Demand requests. 
  • Facilitate the development of business cases and broker negotiations and decisions where new capabilities are needed 
  • Help SPG partners think beyond the immediate ask toward scalable solutions 
  • Coordinate between technology, operations, vendors, support teams, and leadership 
  • Stay current with industry trends and BRM best practices 

  

Required Qualifications 

  • 3+ years as a Business Partner, BRM, Program Manager, Portfolio Manager (or similar) 
  • 7+ years of IT leadership / management experience 
  • Track record of developing and managing trusting relationship with executives and other leaders 
  • Demonstrate reliability, credibility, and empathy in every interaction 
  • Strong background in stakeholder engagement across matrixed or federated organizations 
  • Skilled at presentation and persuasion; know how to adjust message for technical and non-
