General Duties:
- Performs routine and regularly: wall and floor repairs, broken or leaking plumbing, restores full use of water fixtures, and Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the buildings, including hanging whiteboard, bulletin boards, touch up and painting of interior walls at all locations.
- Monitors HVAC thermostats for each location and notifies property manager and SFM of any heating and cooling issues
- Monthly Safety Hazards checks at all locations and repairs any potential safety hazards to avoid injuries: fire extinguisher, exit signs and emergency light checks
- Inventory and office supplies orders as needed
- Keeps all storage areas neat and free of clutter; Handles recycling of cardboard, cans, toner cartridges, etc.…
- Changes water filters in ice machines, water coolers and refrigerators
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrates Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Strong and effective negotiation and verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team; Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize, structure and schedule tasks to maximize effort and meet deadlines.
- Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
- Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working in multiple locations
- Must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel to multiple locations
- Meet vendors on-site to escort them around the buildings as needed
- Ability to be on call 24/7 for after hour emergencies
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to learn programs used by Facilities such as Avigilon, SpaceIQ, Total Connect, etc.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of five years of facilities industry experience required.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Completion of Building Maintenance Training is required.
