Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Regional Onboarding Partner in Murray, UT to introduce and welcome new hires to the Company across multiple states on a weekly basis. The ideal candidate will work ~20 hours a week in this role. The exact work schedule will be determined based on business needs.
You will follow a guided process to ensure our new employees receive thorough training and preparation for their roles, and you act as that "first face", projecting a positive image of our Company's culture.
This role can be performed from an AECOM office or via a hybrid arrangement. This is generally a good fit for those with senior-level administrative experience and does require high energy, extreme attention to detail, patience, ability to overcome objections, dealing with tight deadlines, flexibility with changing policies, extensive communications by email and phone, a pleasant demeanor, and ability to be on camera on Teams consistently.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Leading weekly onboarding calls, speaking to an audience of new hires for 90-120 minutes weekly on camera
- Working with new hires in various states, time zones, and of all cultures/races/genders
- Learning basic office logistics & protocols of each office to which they are assigned (e.g., parking situations, commuter benefits eligibility, administrative contacts, etc.)
- Sending out weekly announcements of names of new hires to office leadership and to any local admin and facilities staff (for purposes of keeping phone lists/Teams sites current, adding names to Town Halls + more)
- Managing a large volume of Procurement orders, IT tickets, and HR tickets related to pre-hire support, correcting mistakes, and special situations
- Working with our internal recruiters regarding start date changes, immigration status clearances, onboarding details
- Responding to HRBP calls for assistance regarding offboarding, question answering, and other one-off situations
- Being available to respond to Administrative questions from not only new hires but also existing hires, on a variety of topics related to their employment, such as directions on when to use the IT helpdesk, the HR Helpdesk, the Benefits hotline, SH&E helpdesk, etc.
- Educating Hiring Managers on the onboarding system; answering their questions to support their hires, reaching out to schedule time with them to discuss their upcoming hires’ needs; enforcing policy even when met with adversity
- Basic PowerPoint skills sufficient to create the New Hire announcement slides and post them on Yammer groups; strong email communications/grammar and spelling skills, and strong MS Office (Word/Excel) skills
- Familiarity with the current laptop model suite and FlexWork items sufficient to counsel TA and/or Hiring Managers who need help in choosing the proper equipment
- Familiarity with the Employee Handbook and ability to locate topics quickly in response to employee questions.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
High School + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
