The Project Manager II supports the planning, development, and execution of multiple workforce development initiatives, including pre-apprenticeship and in-demand skills programs. This role manages all aspects of smaller projects and key phases of larger initiatives, coordinating cross-functional teams under the direction of senior project leadership while helping shape programs that may not yet exist.
In this role, you will contribute to expanding the Center for Workforce Development’s footprint and advancing career pathways that respond to evolving community and workforce needs. The position is ideal for a self-starter who is resilient, mission-driven, and motivated by meaningful community impact and values-based work.
A caregiver in this position works 8:00am—5:00pm. On-site at CCAC two days per week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays). Additional Travel Local travel within the community and across campuses as needed, based on project demands
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of pre-apprenticeship and workforce development programs aligned with in-demand skills and career pathways.
Help lead a major workforce initiative while managing multiple related projects, including all aspects of small projects or key phases of larger initiatives.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, caregivers, and community partners to assess workforce needs, shape programming, and support outreach and promotion efforts.
Navigate ambiguity and build structure in evolving programs by developing action plans, setting timelines, coordinating resources, and ensuring deliverables and project objectives are met.
Coordinate day-to-day activities of cross-functional project teams under the direction of senior project leadership, maintaining clear expectations with team members and stakeholders.
Contribute strategic planning and operational reviews by providing analysis, recommendations, and performance insights; complete audits, identify trends, and implement system and process improvements.
Support financial and operational objectives by participating in forecasting, budgeting, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating
