Role and Responsibilities


Clinical   Duties:

  • Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for examinations/procedures by taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and ensuring patient comfort.
  • Specimen Collection: Perform phlebotomy and collect other specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring proper labeling and handling.
  • Prepare and perform waived lab testing. 
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications and vaccines as directed by healthcare providers, following safety protocols.
  • Assistance During Procedures: Assist healthcare practitioners during examinations and minor surgical procedures.
  • Call patients with results from labs and other studies after the provider has reviewed the results.
  • Equipment Sterilization: Sterilize medical instruments and maintain cleanliness in examination rooms.
  • Document all patient interactions  in the electronic medical record.
