Systems Engineer Associate

HOW A SYSTEMS ENGINEER ASSOCIATE I WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Performs systems development and design work that may include logic design, I/O design, firmware development, model formulation, manufacturing and development cost projections, computer architecture analysis and design, and analog or digital systems engineering
  • Performs systems modeling, simulation, and analysis
  • Participates in the upgrading of operating systems and design of systems enhancements.
  • Provides input for documentation on new or existing systems
  • Develops and conducts tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements. 
  • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves operating/hardware system problems
  • Provides system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned 
  • Participates in special projects as required

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: AS/AA in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience
  • Required Experience: 3+ years of related experience; military experience preferred
  • Required Technical Skills: Knowledge of systems engineering principles, methods, and techniques; Knowledge of the associated hardware, software and equipment; Provide network administration on configurations and perform diagnostics on the network infrastructure; voice / data systems architecture; Provide expertise in configuration, management and viability of primary switches, all remote nodes, and various communications devices; Coordinate requirements in conjunction with Network Enterprise Center (NEC), as necessary, to resolve failures of interfaces and networks; Develop operating procedures, monitors the ongoing operation of a complex network environment. 
  • Required Certification: Must meet DoD 8570 IAM I certification (SEC+)
  • Security Clearance Level: SECRET clearance is required with ability to obtain TS/SCI Clearance
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Superb communication skills; Must be able to perform with minimal guidance
  • Location: On Customer Site/moderate travel to other customer sites throughout Pacific AoR

The likely salary range for this position is $66,602 - $86,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
