Summary/General Job Description/Mission:  This individual is responsible for cost and general accounting for assigned plants in the Americas Region. This individual ensures compliance with US GAAP and SOX 404 controls for all transactions. This individual partners with plant management to analyze and react to financial results.

Responsibilities Related to the Job: 

  • Performance of all cost accounting functions for assigned Americas plants including annual standard labor & overhead rates inventory revaluations, product cost rolls; slow-moving, FIFO and LCM reserve calculations

  • Management of all general accounting functions for assigned America’s plants including all monthly/quarterly journal entries required to properly record transactions or state ending general ledger account balances

  • Preparation of monthly/quarterly reconciliations for all designated general ledger accounts

  • Coordination with key plant management and operations stakeholders for the weekly and monthly review of plan vs. actual results

  • Provide monthly analysis of plant results and work with the operations team to explain manufacturing variances and overall plant performance

  • Perform various project work as designated by Regional Controller.

  • Special Projects as required.

  • Assist with annual physical inventory.
