Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Telehealth Contract

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner Psychiatric to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatric care and be able to provide exceptional care to our patients. This is a Part-Time, one day a week, local or Telehealth option. This would be working with patients of all ages at our Uintah and Ouray Service Unit, Fort Duchesne Health Center located in Fort Duchesne, UT.   

• 8-hour day shift

• Can work on any US license
• Experience as a  Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner needed
• Must have 2+ years of Behavioral Health Experience as an NP

Responsibilities:

- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments

- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with psychiatric disorders

- Prescribe medications and monitor their effectiveness

- Provide counseling and support to patients and their families

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records

- Strong knowledge of psychiatric medications and their side effects

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care

Requirements

• Must be certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners  
• 2 years experience required
• Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatry
• Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
• Must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
• Must be Board Eligible or Certified
• DEA
• Must have current BLS, ACLS
• Certification of Education - copy of diploma or transcripts
• Must be willing and able to pass Federal Security Clearance
• Must be a US citizen, living primarily in the United States
