About the role

Job Summary: Complete trouble shooting, repairs and preventative maintenance on all types of plumbing, mechanical and industrial equipment. You will report to the Maintenance Manager.

 

Primary Tasks:

1. Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes.

2. Install, repair and maintains chilled water, steam, heat, water, gas, drainage, sewage, pumps, drinking fountains and other plumbing systems.

3. Trouble shoot plumbing problems and performs general maintenance and repairs for all boilers, hot water tanks, steamers, heaters and related items.

4. Operate reamers, threading discs, sewer tapes, pipe cutters, snakes and other plumbing equipment and hand tools.

5. Inspect joints, valves, pumps, boilers, heaters, sinks, commodes, tanks, valves and other plumbing system components to locate malfunctions and repairs, replaces and unstops clogs.

6. Study plans, drawings, specifications and work orders to determine work requirements and sequence of repairs and installations.

7. Plan, coordinate and complete work using staff, and outside contractors, new installations including alterations and modifications to existing infrastructure.

8. Inspect the work of outside contractors on behalf of Choctaw Nation.

9. Winterize facilities.

10. Perform other tasks as assigned.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Journeyman Plumbing License
  • You will be required to perform complex tasks of a more specialized nature, frequently requiring independent analysis and independent decision-making.
  • Read and understand mechanical and equipment drawings.
  • You will present information either orally or in writing to other employees, supervisors, engineering personnel, and client representatives
  • 5+ years of commercial plumbing experience working with piping up to 10".
