What You'll Learn:
Our comprehensive training program includes instructor-led classroom learning, online coursework, and hands-on shop experience covering:


Shop Safety
Precision Machining Technology
Basic Math & Blueprint Reading
Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
Precision Measurement
Basic Shop Machinery
Computer Numerical Control (CNC)


What You'll Do:


Learn manufacturing skills from experienced professionals
Apply classroom knowledge through hands-on work assignments
Attend all scheduled classroom and on-the-job training sessions
Complete assignments and meet program standards
Develop shop floor skills while meeting performance expectations
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and a willingness to learn every day


Program Schedule & Location

Program Start: September 2026

Training Schedule:
Monday through Friday
7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Training Location:
Penn United Technologies’ Carl E. Jones Learning Institute
Cabot, PA

 
QualificationsQualifications:
 To be considered for this program, applicants must:


Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent
Successfully complete an aptitude assessment and interview
Possess strong mechanical aptitude, math skills, and problem-solving ability
Have a strong work ethic of dependability as demonstrated in regular attendance and punctuality
Be willing to work daylight, afternoon, and/or midnight shifts as needed after classroom training is complete
Successfully pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and criminal background check


     Preferred but not required:  Vocational or technical school training
