Examples of duties
Under general supervision, performs a wide range of administrative and clerical duties to support the Chatham County Health Department’s Chest Clinic. Responsibilities include but are not limited to answering telephones and emails, scheduling appointments, checking patients in/out, maintaining clinic flow, processing referrals, electronic health record data entry, processing payments, verifying insurance, tracking outstanding balances owed, resolving customer complaints, drafting documentation or reports, handling confidential information, providing a professional and courteous customer service experience, communicating with internal and external customers/partners to meet customer expectations as well as maintaining HIPAA standards related to privacy and security, responding to emergencies, attending staff meetings and on-going training to perform job tasks effectively, occasionally lifting of up to 45 pounds, and performing additional customer service and clerical support duties when assigned.Qualifications
High school diploma or GED AND twelve months of experience handling customer's questions, complaints and/or providing information.Supplemental information
