The Role
Individual will perform technical project management functions in the GSD NOC on U.S. Government owned networks. Work location is Denver, CO. The position will require an active Government security clearance or successful pre-screen evaluation to obtain a security clearance.

The Main Responsibilities
• Telenium – enter demand and scheduled maintenance with upcoming activities, primary date of maintenance
• Pull service impact lists with Lumen circuit ID and associated NCIs
• Customer maintenance reschedule requests
• Customer alt-route requests in advance of maintenance
• Contact NWO prior to and following maintenance conclusion. (CM is supposed to issue customer notifications upon start and conclusion of scheduled maintenance activities on our network) Apprise customer of maintenance extensions, including technical projects with Engineers
• Issue customer notifications of planned Engineering projects with primary and alternate dates
• Reschedule scheduled maintenance activities to align with customer preferred schedule, moratoriums or heightened awareness periods
• Respond to customer inquiries
• Liaise with CM and other Lumen entities
• Non-notified maintenance tickets – follow up with CM & 3rd party providers to ensure impacted circuit(s) or fiber is identified in corporate and 3rd party databases and whatever additional action is required
• DM scheduling with NWO for upcoming approval requests, follow-up inquiriie3s, rescheduling, coordination with FOPS
• Posting of all CM & DM activities in CM Central
• Liaise with PMO – Operations & Engineering teams
• Prepare monthly reports for fiber availability, scheduled maintenance activities, customer network metrics
• Liaise closely with other internal departments – Change Management, OSP Engineering, Field Operations, Construction and Splicing teams
• Act as an advocate for customer maintenance requirements
• Interface closely with Program Offices, Service Managers and Property Management

What We Look For in a Candidate
• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience with long-haul and metro transport networks, next-generation DWDM wavelength systems
• Broad experience with various vendor platforms for optical networks
• Circuit level troubleshooting experience
• Experience with fiber maintenance activities to cover outside plant, and fiber splicing/relocation
• Prior NOC experience is preferred
• Must be well versed in scheduled maintenance processes, fiber maintenance activities, circuit grooms and 3rd party providers
• Ability to relate technical issues to management and Gov’t personnel
• Previous experience with Gov’t networks and customers. The ability to interface in a professional manner with management and customers is essential.
• Website management skills to create content, post documentation
Compensation
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.Location Based Pay Ranges
