You have good understanding of front-end JavaScript experience and are passionate about creating excellent user experiences. You are excited about exploring new front-end technologies and eager to push the boundaries of what is possible. You are enthusiastic about working with the latest technologies, such as React, Redux, and GraphQL. You are a collaborative team member, working with experienced colleagues to help evolve the technology stack and build modern, exceptional user experiences for our customers. You have eager to master how to build performant, scalable user interfaces, with a keen attention to design aesthetics and engineering excellence.

What you get to do in this role:  

As a Front End Software Engineer, you will work with a talented group of developers to build next-generation technologies on the ServiceNow cloud platform. This team is responsible for the innovation, features, and architecture that make ServiceNow a powerful platform used by many Fortune 500 companies. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies such as mobile development, UI component libraries, predictive intelligence, workflow & automation, and developer tools & IDEs.

• Build high-quality, clean, scalable and reusable code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (Code Reviews, Unit testing, etc.)
• Collaborate with best of breed UX designers, researchers, and back-end developers to build amazing, performant and scalable user interfaces with large scale data.
• Evolve existing User Interfaces to increase interactivity, intuitiveness, performance, and overall user delight.
• Work in the latest technologies such as Web Components, React, Redux, and GraphQL.
• Work with the product owners to understand detailed requirements and own your code from design, implementation, test automation and delivery of high-quality product to our users.
• Design software that is simple to use to allow customers to extend and customize the functionality to meet their specific needs
• Help design and implement new products and features while also enhancing the existing product suite

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

• 0-2+ years of experience with Java or a similar OO language
• Passion for software development, problem solving, design aesthetics, and engineering excellence.
• Passion for JavaScript and the Web as a platform, reusability, and componentization
• Experience with data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations
• Experience with any of the modern UI frameworks like Angular, React or Vue
• Analytical and design skills
• Working knowledge and ability to use tools to assist with daily tasks (IDE, debugger, build tools, source control, ServiceNow instances, profilers, system administration/Unix tools)
• Strong team player who can work with other experienced co-workers to help us evolve the technology stack and build modern and awesome UI experiences for our customers.

For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $111,200 - $172,400, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
