You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS-09: To be eligible for this position at this grade level, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Presenting technical information through independent reading, interviews and analysis. Applying tax law that may have been gained through working at a tax filing service, a law firm, an accounting firm, or any public or private business that has provided tax services. Writing communication, this experience may have been acquired as writer or editor of reports, articles, manuals, or specifications. Writing IRS style and Section 508 requirements and utilizing technical programs used in Taxpayer Services or applicable BODs. Utilizing applications such as Dreamweaver, Visual Studio code and Bootstrap process (or the equivalent), Adobe Photoshop, PowerPoint, Word Power Apps, and SharePoint. Applying HTML coding and reviewing and advising code prior to transmittal. OR You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: A master's or equivalent graduate degree in a related field with at least 15 semester hours in an appropriate scientific, technical or social science(s) field, and at least one course above the introductory level in the fields covered. OR Two (2) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's or equivalent graduate degree in a related field with at least 15 semester hours in an appropriate scientific, technical or social science(s) field, and at least one course above the introductory level in the fields covered. OR LL.B. or J.D., if related with at least 15 semester hours in an appropriate scientific, technical or social science(s) field, and at least one course above the introductory level in the fields covered. (For technical manuals and specifications writers or editors, the equivalent of 15 semester hours may have been gained through vocational or educational training above the high school level at a public, private, or Armed Forces school.) AND You must also meet the following requirement(s): TIME AFTER COMPETITIVE APPOINTMENT (TACA): Current civilian employees must have completed at least 90 days of federal civilian service since their latest non-temporary appointment from a competitive referral certificate, known as time after competitive appointment. For this requirement, a competitive appointment is one where you applied to and were appointed from an announcement open to "All US Citizens". TIME IN GRADE (TIG): For positions above the GS-05, applicants must meet applicable time-in-­grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year (52 weeks) at the next lower grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the grade you are applying for. For positions at the GS-5, you cannot advance to the GS-05 if you have held a GS-02 in the past 52 weeks. There is no TIG restriction for GS-02, 03, or 04 positions.
