The Business Analyst is the lynch pin for all analytical driven decision making. This particular role will require the right candidate with the requisite amount of experience in problem solving in a highly dynamic environment. This role will oversee all existing and future reporting operations within the Supply Chain division. Ensure existing reporting processes are running on time to completion, and new reporting processes are established in autonomous fashion. This role will work collaboratively and cohesively with the Planning and Production teams to ensure existing and future needs are supported through the firms’ reporting services. The Business Analyst will also optimize existing reporting to ensure timeliness of delivery as well as pivot existing reporting to Fabric data models when and where necessary. This role will attend the Demand and Supply S&OP meetings to ensure new reporting needs are captured by the business users and ensure the accuracy of the data represented in the slides. Performing ad hoc reporting as needed will be a critical component of the role. This position will require a clear and intimate understanding of the business’s terminology and metrics.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage and update existing reporting for S&OP process.
- Aid in report development, design, and deployment for Supply Chain Teams using Power BI, Blue Cherry BI, SQL, and Excel.
- Maintain SKU attribution data in the planning hierarchy.
- Facilitate reporting regarding sustainability on an annualized basis.
- Support the UK teams with carbon copy reporting enhancements using API.
- Work collaboratively with IT to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Monitor report adoption and usage along with decommissioning unutilized reports.
- Team up with analytics department to reduce redundancy of resource usage.
- Recommend KPI and exception reporting to provide continuous improvement measures for the organization.
- Leverage working knowledge of systems and assets to enhance the team’s technical capability.
- Data validation through use of ERP reporting in conjunction with SQL Server Queries.
- Lock demand forecasts and provide insight on forecasting accuracy deviations.
- Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
COMPETENCIES:
- Extremely proficient with Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Power BI.
- Proficiency in SSRS, Fabric, Python, R preferred.
- Familiarity with Blue Cherry, Salesforce and SPS Commerce is a plus.
- Analytical with an ability to understand the businesses directional needs.
- Ability to adapt to a highly entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and accountability.
- Focused on continuous improvement in business practices.
- Exceptional communication skills and time management.
- Ability to solve problems and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytics or Business-related field.
- 1-3 years’ experience in related field.
- Apparel knowledge and luxury brand experience is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of forecasting software related to demand & supply planning is a plus.
- Experience in S&OP process and continuous improvement methodologies.
