POSITION - Union: Senior Storekeeper (NYSEG-NY-Geneva) (R-10764) 

NUMBER OF POSITIONS: 1 

LOCATION: NYSEG-NY-Geneva 

HOURLY RATE: ($52.84 - $53.84)  

Responsibilities 

• Requisitions all needed materials and supplies. 

• Responsible for receipt, care disbursement and inventories of all storeroom materials and supplies. 

• Responsible for issuing emergency purchase orders. 

• Responsible for maintaining necessary storeroom records and reports. 

• Performs other related and less skilled work as required. 

• Directs the work of others assisting him. 

• Assists in making periodic ratings of employees assisting him. 

Skills and Requirements 

• Should have at least five years experience in stores work or its equivalent. 

• Must be able to perform semi-routine operations of considerable complexity and variety where standard methods of procedure are available. Equivalent to four years of high school; or two years of high school plus two years apprenticeship or trade school training; or common school graduate plus four years apprenticeship or trade school training. 

• Should have general knowledge of construction standards, purchasing policies and stores accounting methods. 

• Must be familiar with Company's Safety Rules, Prone Pressure method of Resuscitation and able to render practical First Aid. 

• Must be able to qualify for automobile operator's license.

• Normal health, physique and use of senses as indicated by passing the required physical examination given by a Company physician, including color perception. 

• Must be able to meet public in pleasant, tactful manner. 

• Must be especially neat and orderly in work. 

• Must have established reputation for being strictly honest in the custody of money or property. 

• Must have established reputation of being trustworthy when in possession of confidential information. 

• Must be willing to work extra and/or irregular hours as required.
