About the role

We are seeking a Pediatric Endocrinologist for a faculty position in our pediatric endocrinology division!

Successful applicants will be energetic BE/BC pediatric endocrinologists interested in providing care to children with endocrine disorders and diabetes. Applicants should have a strong interest in diabetes care and multidisciplinary collaboration.  This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician-educator to advance their career within an academic medical center. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • providing expert, evidence-based outpatient and inpatient clinical care for pediatric endocrinology patients
  • collaborating with the endocrine team, which consists of clinic nurses, diabetes educators, dietitians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to build a multidisciplinary diabetes program 
  • participate in educational initiatives for medical students, residents, and fellows in pediatric endocrinology.

Our present team includes 8 faculty, 3 fellows, 2 APPs who specialize in pediatric endocrinology, and nurses, as well as a dedicated social worker and nutritionist. 

This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician-educator to advance their career within an academic medical center. 

  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited program.
  • Successful completion of a 3-year Pediatric ACGME-approved residency program and a 3-year   Pediatric ACGME-approved fellowship program. 
  • New York State Medical License (or eligible).
  • Board eligible or certified in Pediatric Endocrinology. 
  • Meet eligibility requirements for an appointment to the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
  • Experience with diabetes technology.

Compensation range from 180K to 215K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, historical collections, and hospital/community need. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances, may wind up being outside of the listed salary range. The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits.
