Job Description

The responsibilities for this position include assisting on projects related to construction materials including aggregates, limestone and cement. Will assist in mine planning and site design, preparing technical reports, and project management. The successful candidate will work with senior engineering staff to manage mining-related projects. Domestic travel may be required for visits to client mine sites as well as for client and corporate meetings.

Qualifications

Candidates must have the following:

• Bachelor of science degree in mining engineering or geological engineering
• 0-5 years of mining engineering work experience; prior experience in construction materials is helpful
• Working knowledge of mining-related software such as AutoCAD Map 3D, Carlson, SURPAC or equivalent and other commercial packages Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and effective oral and written communication skills.

Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package. RESPEC is a 100 percent employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) after a qualifying period.
