Position Overview:
As an Early-Career Civil Engineer at JBPro, you will be integral to our civil engineering projects, focusing on design, permitting, and project coordination. Working within an engineering team alongside a Design Engineer and Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in project execution. Depending on project needs, you will report to either the Design Engineer or Project Manager, fostering seamless collaboration and delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients.
This position is ideal for recent or upcoming 2024 college graduates keen on pursuing a career in Civil Engineering. What You’ll Do:
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to prepare precise construction drawings.
- Assist Design Engineers and Project Managers with engineering tasks such as utilities, grading, and drainage.
- Perform detailed stormwater calculations and modeling designs.
- Conduct utility design calculations to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Prepare and submit applications to regulatory authorities.
- Coordinate effectively with sub-consultants and external partners to streamline project processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required
- The ability to sit for the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (EI) within 6 months of hire required; exam certification preferred.
- Experience with CAD software in general is required; Civil 3D is preferred.
