This cross-trained opportunity blends the best of both worlds. As a Client Service Representative (CSR) and Veterinary Assistant, you'll support our team in both the front office and the treatment area—helping pets and people with care, empathy, and professionalism.
Your Dual Responsibilities Will Include
Client Service Representative Duties:- Greet clients warmly and ensure a welcoming, professional atmosphere.
- Manage incoming calls, appointment scheduling, and client communications.
- Maintain accurate patient and client records using our veterinary software.
- Process payments, explain services and financing options, and address billing inquiries.
- Support clients through their pet’s visit with compassion—especially during emergencies.
- Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient restraint, treatments, and diagnostics.
- Prepare medications, clean and sanitize equipment, and support procedural setup.
- Monitor and care for hospitalized patients, including feeding, walking, and cleaning.
- Help ensure patient comfort and safety throughout their visit.
- Be ready to jump in and assist during emergency situations as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
To succeed in this position, prior experience in a client services role is essential, particularly within a veterinary, medical, or clinical setting. Ideal candidates will have at least two years of experience in a professional medical or veterinary environment, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service. Familiarity with veterinary terminology, emergency protocols, and animal care practices is highly desirable.The right candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written) and possess a friendly, approachable demeanor. A compassionate and empathetic nature is critical, especially when working in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
Preferred Experience:
- At least 2 years in a veterinary or medical client service setting.
- Prior experience working directly with animals in a clinical or hospital environment.
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology and emergency protocols.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
- Comfortable de-escalating tense situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Able to work some weekend shifts.
