Description

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, ranked No. 1 hospital in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and No. 2 hospital in Texas by U.S. News and World Report, is seeking a full-time, board-certified/board-eligible Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician to join our esteemed Spine Center team.

Physiatrists specializing in back and spine medicine plays a pivotal role in the non-surgical management of musculoskeletal and spine-related conditions. This physician will focus on restoring function, reducing pain, and improving quality of life for patients through individualized, evidence-based treatment plans. The role requires close collaboration with orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, pain specialists, physical therapists, and other multidisciplinary team members to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.

Role Responsibilities and Duties:
The ideal candidate will be adept at integrating conservative management strategies—such as image-guided injections, physical therapy coordination, and functional restoration programs—into longitudinal care plans tailored to each patient’s needs and goals.

 

Qualifications

 
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree or foreign equivalent
  • ABPMR Board certified/eligible
  • Eligible for Texas medical licensure and its acquisition prior to the start of employment
