The salary range for this position is $25.00 to $28.00. The actual compensation may vary depending on a wide range of factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, location, etc. This range does not include additional forms of compensation such as bonuses. In addition, this position will be eligible for a stipend for food expenses when required to travel. Any additional mileage or hotel expenses would be submitted based on Conifer policy.
Are you a reliable, self-motivated full-time Multi-Family-Maintenance Technician seeking to grow your career with Conifer Realty, one of the leading affordable housing developers/property management companies in the Northeast?
Responsibilities will include:
- Monitor building(s) and grounds to ensure a neat and clean presentation and environment.
- Complete routine painting, minor plumbing, minor electrical wiring, carpentry, dry wall, cleaning and other related maintenance activities using both hand and power tools.
- Knowledge, training with HVAC helpful.
- Knowledge of OSHA requirements helpful or willing to train.
- Follow all written and verbal instructions.
- Ensure all supplies are stored in appropriate areas under proper storage guidelines.
- Complete grounds maintenance duties such as mowing, trimming shrubbery, cultivating flower beds along with snow, ice and debris removal.
- Remove trash and dispose of in designated areas.
- Maintain tools and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
- Ensure security of building during and after completed jobs and report any security violations to management.
- Report the need for any major repairs to supervisor.
- Report and repair emergency maintenance problems and/or environmental hazards immediately.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures.
- May be required to work overtime.
- Physical attendance at assigned work location(s) during scheduled hours is essential.
- Travel may be required 75-95% of the time to assist at Conifer locations in the assigned portfolio when scheduled. Consistent overnight may be needed with advanced notice given.
- Perform other related maintenance and cleaning duties, as assigned.
Your Job Skills/Experience should include:
- Minimum 2-3+ years prior hands-on apartment maintenance experience preferred.
- Prior painting, minor plumbing & electrical wiring skills, carpentry, dry wall, cleaning skills needed; HVAC a plus or willing to train.
- Knowledge of safety rules involving cleaning supplies, maintenance equipment, etc.
- Ability to read and understand policies, training materials, Instructions for products, machines, manuals. etc.
- Computer navigation experience for timekeeping, online training and development, and work order processing.
- Reliable transportation, valid drivers’ license, and auto-insurance policy
- Self-motivated, good initiative, hard-working.
- Reliable; on-time, good attendance.
- Excellent customer service skills with collaborative communication skills to effectively interact with residents, contractors, visitors, and Conifer team members.
- Very organized, excellent time management, scheduling of tasks, and multi-tasking abilities to meet required deadlines, including any pre-approved extended hours that may be needed.
- Able to work independently as well as support a team.
