YOU
As a Fabricator, you are responsible for bending, seating, flanging, and top flanging material to the specifications contained within work orders and production drawings in such a manner as to achieve safety, quality, efficiency, LEAN and production goals.
** 2nd Shift Hours are Mon - Thu 4:25PM – 2:55AM. You will receive a $2.50 shift differential for every hour worked. **
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)
Set up machine for required operation (bending, flanging, seating, top flanging) and manufacture parts according to prints and work orders (75%)
Perform quality inspections to drawings and specifications per procedures. Communicate with department leadership regarding issues and improvements (15%)
Package finished products in cartons, applying labels, and palletizing finished products. Gather and stage work and maintain a clean work environment (10%)
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- Simpson Strong-Tie Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Certification (will certify at hire) required.
- Related manufacturing experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and training preferred 1 year experience.
- Safety: able to consistently prioritize safety by demonstrating a safe work practices by promoting a safe work environment.
- Attendance: able to consistently demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance.
- Mathematical Reasoning: able to apply basic algebraic and geometric concepts. Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimal equivalents.
- Reading Comprehension: ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Problem Solving: able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Analysis/ Reasoning: able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Speaking: able to effectively communicate in group settings and one-on-one, with all departments and at all levels within the organization.
- Measurements: able to read a tape measure to 1/32” tolerance and to use combination squares to measure angles to +/- 1 degree.
- Tools: hand and power tools as well as powered industrial equipment.
TRAVEL REQUIRED
This job requires no domestic travel.

This full-time, non-exempt position is located in McKinney, TX

PAY
$19.00 / hour

This role operates large equipment while standing for approximately 8-12 hours, regularly twisting and bending in a repetitive motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment.
