Senior iOS Engineer

Our award-winning product combines cutting edge hardware (the Oura Ring), software and data expertise to provide simplified data insights that empowers individuals to listen to their bodies. </p><p>As a Senior iOS Engineer, you will work with modern technologies and passionate people to contribute to the product and the quality of our app, and its user experience. The majority of the team is located in Helsinki and Oulu but we're open for candidates working fully remotely across Finland.</p><p><strong>How we work</strong><br/></p><p>We believe that working with native code (Swift and Kotlin) delivers the best product for our customers. We work in small autonomous squads that are formed from our iOS, Android and cloud engineering teams as well as from the science, product management, marketing and customer success teams. Squads have autonomy and are free to advance such feature or architectural improvements as would be valuable to present or future Oura members. <br/></p><p>We are committed to enabling you to do the best work of your career. You will:</p><ul> <li>Work together with other Oura engineers to improve our product &amp; app experience</li> <li>Collaborate with other teams &amp; squads, e.g. firmware and backend, to deliver surprise and delight to Oura users</li> <li>Push our products forward by having a close dialogue with our PMs and Designers</li> <li>Learn new technologies and put them into practice as per your judgment</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>We would love to have you on our team if you have:</strong></p><ul> <li>5+ years of experience developing and shipping professional iOS applications</li> <li>Strong understanding of modern Swift and common third-party iOS libraries</li> <li>Collaborative development experience on distributed engineering teams</li> <li>Pragmatic can-do attitude; shipping working software brings you joy</li> <li>Passion for the little things in both engineering and UX</li> </ul><p></p><p><strong>We also appreciate if You have experience with the following:</strong></p><ul> <li>Swift structured concurrency</li> <li>Combine</li> <li>GRDB / SQLite</li> <li>Integrating libraries with C/C++ code</li> <li>Working with algorithms</li> <li>Architecture and design patterns</li> <li>UIKit and CoreAnimation</li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>At Oura, we care about you and your well-being.
