Job Description

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Civil Engineer - Airport/Aviation to be based in Tampa, Florida.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for developing civil airfield designs, construction improvements, and working under experienced design staff.
• Preparation of the following: design plans, construction estimates, technical specifications, engineer's reports, meeting agendas/minutes, and other various tasks related to supporting our client's needs.
• Regular contact with clients, design team members, contractors, and sub-consultants for ongoing planning, design, and construction projects.
• Participation in project meetings with the internal team and clients.
• Interaction with all project stakeholders (including federal and state agencies).
• Development and/or review of project documents and general support of project teams and tasks.
• Support project managers with design documentation and construction-related services.
• Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
• Performs work in accordance with the agreed-upon budget and schedule under supervision.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET Accredited Program.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D Design.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Past Civil Engineering internship experience.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License preferred to visit project sites and clients.

• Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position typically is $56,000 - $70,000. Please note that this role can be based anywhere in the United States and compensation data will vary in each location, including higher or lower than the stated range.
