Saturday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm and Sunday 11:00 am - 5:00 pm


A Patient Support Coordinator greets, registers and schedules patients in person and by phone. This position performs great customer service, works well in a fast-paced job, has good computer skills and is willing to learn electronic health records and payment systems. This team member works together with providers and staff to support and coordinate our patients care needs within the department and across the clinic.

Key Job Duties:

  • Represent the Mankato Clinic
  • Schedule patient appointments to include follow-ups, canceling, confirming and rescheduling
  • Register patients in person and by phone
  • Accept and enter payments in computer system
  • Update insurance and verify personal information
  • Answer incoming phone calls
  • Prepare for patient’s upcoming visit
  • Distribute, explain and collect patient forms
  • Answer patient questions and direct patients to correct areas
  • Perform clerical functions as needed for the department

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to maintain composure when confronted with fast-paced and stressful situations
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Customer service experience
  • Excellent telephone communications and keyboarding skills
  • Dedication to patient satisfaction
  • Professional and positive attitude
  • Ability to work well in a team

Preferred:

  • Experience working with the public
  • Medical terminology
  • Advanced educational training

BLS (CPR) certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
Employment is contingent on successful completion of drug screen, health assessment, and background check.

Benefits & Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $17.15-$23.95, initial pay based on relevant work experience. 

Urgency Care Patient Support Coordinators receive $1.00 shift differential for all weekend hours, as well as any weekday evenings as well.
