<p><span>We are looking for a <strong>Senior Service Engineer Mechanical</strong> to strengthen our skilled 2-Stroke Field Service team. The preferred location for this position is in <span>Gdansk, Poland</span>.</span></p>

<p><strong>Your role and responsibilities </strong></p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong><span>As a Senior Service Engineer Mechanical you will focus on these responsibilities:</span></strong></p>
<p> </p>
<ul>
<li><span>Carry out mechanical jobs and occasionally troubleshoot on board vessels with 2-stroke engines from Sulzer, Wärtsilä, and WinGD.</span></li>
<li><span>Perform Field Service activities related to Service Products installation for 2-stroke diesel engines on board vessels.</span></li>
<li><span>Perform mechanical and/or electronic & automation related installation of Service Products and Wärtsilä's solutions for engines in service.</span></li>
<li><span>Perform technical assessment of the installations and conduct pre- and final commissioning of the installed product according to the guidelines.</span></li>
<li><span>Work on site with Field Service team members, managing the service activities during the execution of the work.</span></li>
<li><span>Interact with customers during work execution.</span></li>
<li><span>Interact with Field Service and Technical Service back-office during work.</span></li>
<li><span>Submit internal and external reports for work progress status, updates, and final reports for the assigned work.</span></li>
<li><span>Prepare final Service Work Report and report travel-related expenses on time, ensuring expected Wärtsilä quality.</span></li>

<p><strong><span>Requirements for the position </span></strong></p>
<p> </p>
<ul>
<li><span>BSc degree in Engineering and/or proven experience (minimum 3 years) in Field Service work involving the installation of mechanical, electrical, and auxiliary equipment.</span></li>
<li><span>Experience with Wärtsilä's products will be beneficial.</span></li>
<li><span>Deep understanding of the principles of operation of 2-stroke engines, with eagerness to learn and develop further to service retrofit products.</span></li>
<li><span>Good understanding of technical instructions, drawings, and schematic diagrams (e.g., pneumatic and electrical systems).</span></li>
<li><span>Awareness and readiness to take on tasks involving mechanical and electrical troubleshooting for engines, auxiliary systems, and service products.</span></li>
<li><span>Willingness to travel and work abroad (up to 200 days per year).</span></li>
<li>Proficiency in English and Polish, both spoken and written.</li>
<li><span>Good reporting skills, both written and verbal, for daily reports and final submissions.</span></li>
<li><span>Ability to collaborate seamlessly with team members of various nationalities and communicate efficiently with customers, supervisors, and </span><span>internal or external stakeholders.</span></li>
<li><span>Proficiency in MS Office and openness to learn system tools for reporting and administrative purposes.</span></li>
