About the role

Obsolescence Engineer

Project manages complex obsolescence as strategic projects, interfacing with various functions such as Customer Reps, Suppliers, Supplier Reps, Design Engineers, Product Managers, Production Managers & Buyers.

  • Influences outcomes and looks for opportunities to monetize, bundle, and communalize obsolescence changes across BU’s
  • Understands how obsolescence impacts other product changes
  • Ensures controlled change for Copy Exact customers
  • Reduces Obsolescence in new products
  • Runs project meetings
  • Optimizes processes used by the OBS and Strategic Groups and establish BKMs
  • Creates and maintains OBS and Strategic dashboards
  • Develops future productivity tools to aid in processes
  • In depth knowledge of the ECO process, including ECRs and ESWs
  • Monitors, prioritizes, and reports on projects in conjunction with counterpart in India
  • Obtains samples for internal and customer qualifications
  • Understands product structure impact
  • Drives overall project schedule with various stakeholders across disciplines
  • Determines last time buy needs and creates executive summaries for justification
  • Maintains project details in the Obsolescence database
  • Requests design and qualification resources from the BU
  • Coordinates schedule and prioritization
  • Plans manufacturing cut ins
  • Influences project outcomes and obtains approvals
  • Negotiates change, last time buy, extension of sale
  • Understands and communicates the reason for Obsolescence
  • Presents data and information – written and oral – to senior management level
  • Understands product timeline and roadmap
  • Escalates as necessary to maintain momentum

U.S. Salary Range:

$76,000.00 - $104,500.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
