Responsibilities

Provides direct patient care and supportive services to patients with mental health disorders as well as chemically dependent patients to ensure the safety and wellbeing of patients.  Carries out a variety of patient care activities which support the maintenance of the therapeutic milieu and which meet the patient's needs for comfort and safety. May also perform the duties and responsibilities of an Emergency Department Technician.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

 

Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or other behavioral health related fields.

Must hold American Heart Association’s Basic Life Support (BLS).

PREFERRED

Patient care experience in a hospital or inpatient mental health facility.

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or other behavioral health fields

OR

Associate’s Degree and Three (3) years’ experience in inpatient setting

OR

One (1) year of experience in the behavioral health field

OR

Five (5) years of experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting

Work Hours:

7pm-7am
