We are looking for a hardworking, forward- thinking individual that has practical experience in business entity income tax compliance and/or programming. This individual will be very interested in transferring that practical experience into the tax software environment by helping us create and maintain corporate and pass-thru tax software solutions. We are seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic individuals to join CSC Corptax in one of our offices located in: Buffalo Grove, IL; Dallas-Fort Worth, TX; or telecommute from a remote location.  Visit our website at: corptax.com. 

 Some of the things you will be doing:

• Research changes to tax forms
• Interpret the tax code and regulation updates that drove those changes
• Provide guidance to programmers on updates needed to calculations based on research findings (for candidates with programming experience or for non-programmers with a desire to learn programming; we use proprietary software and training will be provided) 
• Test tax return calculations for accuracy, consistency, and usability
• Experience with reading and interpreting COBOL and/or C# is a plus
• Experience with Visual Studio, Azure DevOps is a plus
• Develop and update documentation to support the tax return calculations and other collateral
• Eventually lead or assist other leaders on team projects, as needed
• Provide support for the products we create through both direct and indirect communication channels

 What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need:

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Computer Science, or related field
• CPA or master’s degree is a plus
• 5 to 10 years of industry or public accounting experience specializing in corporate or flow-thru income tax compliance or programming experience.
• Experience with mid to high complexity pass-through compliance preferred.
• Exposure to and interest in tax software applications and Microsoft products
• Equivalent experience at a tax software company will be considered
• Strong oral and written skills
• Willingness to learn new skills quickly
• Ability to work extended schedule as required to meet objectives

*At CSC, compensation decisions are dependent on a number of factors including job location and the knowledge and experience of each individual. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $94,631-$110,000.00.
