We are looking for a Production Team Leader to join our Catalyst team in Attapulgus, GA.

BASF’s Catalysts division is the global market leader in catalyst technologies. The division develops and produces mobile emissions catalysts as well as process catalysts and offers precious metals trading, recycling and related products and services.

 

As a Production Team Leader in our GCCP business unit at the Attapulgus, GA site, you will lead a team of operators to achieve excellence in safety, productivity, and quality, supporting The Chemical Company’s mission to deliver high-performance materials and solutions.

During your rotating shift as a Production Team Leader, you will

• Lead and supervise a team of operators to safely and efficiently operate the facility.
• Serve as Incident Commander, directing emergency response activities on shift.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and training to optimize employee and equipment performance.
• Ensure compliance with BASF and OSHA safety policies and all environmental regulations.
• Maintain high housekeeping and performance standards through daily inspections and feedback.
• Oversee production to meet quality and productivity targets, and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage shift scheduling, coverage, and support for coworker absences.
• Initiate and lead incident investigations, accident reports, and management of change activities.
• Review and assist with standard operating procedures (SOPs), BHA, and HIRA processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

If you...

• Have a High School diploma or GED equivalent (required).
• Have at least 2 years of experience in an industrial processing/production environment.
• Have experience in a leadership or supervisory role (preferred).
• Are a proactive, motivated self-starter capable of working with limited supervision.
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate employees.
• Have good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Are familiar with SAP, Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite (preferred).
• Are willing and available to work rotating shifts and overtime as assigned.
